The Software Management Research Group was founded to target specialized software management domain knowledge. The group targets to disseminate the domain knowledge on principles, processes, methods and techniques required to manage the development and evolution of software systems, to lead the advancement of software practice in Turkey, and to bring forth experts and scientists in the field.

Our research is directed mainly towards the areas of Software Process Improvement, Software Estimation, Software Measurement, Software Project Management, Software Verification, Software Reliability and Software Testing.
We actively perform funded research projects as well as projects for government institutions and the software industry. Detailed description of the projects can be found on www.ii.metu.edu.tr/~smrg. We also actively organize national and international conferences and seminars.
