Internal Auditor and Inspector (Türkiye İş Bankası, Turkey (1997-2000, full-time)

  • Member of auditing board of a bank with approximately 700 branches, and more than 10.000 employees all around Turkey
  • Regular auditing of 10 branches every year: operational control, quality assurance and improvement with the use of various qualitative and quantitative methods; performance evaluation of branch staff, public relations
  • Deployed as a task force for investigation in case of unexpected or exceptional incidents such as robbery or client complain

  • 2001 Bursary awarded by Academic Department & Research Sponsorship by Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Lancaster University,U.K.
  • 1993-1997 Bilkent University, Turkey Awarded scholarship, 1st in the City, 9th in the Nation (university placement exam with 1.5 million candidates), and graduated with overall GPA of 3.78 (High Honours,  5th among 124 students), also completing the advanced track honours program with the highest departmental cumulative index.  Chosen as one of the first exchange students to study abroad in Purdue University (10 courses in one semester, with a GPA of 3.90, not added to the overall GPA)
