Neurosignal Lab was founded to reveal and interpret brain mechanisms by analyzing oscillatory brain activity and connectivity emergent during various cognitive processes like emotion, memory, language and attention. Except cognition, we also work on clinical neuroscience, particularly Parkinson’s disease.
Our lab is pioneer on developing advanced signal processing methods particularly on connectivity metrics in order to interpret brain signals.
In Neurosignal Lab, research projects aim at revealing neural fingerprints of memory, attention, emotions are undertaken. In addition to experimental-behavioral methods, advanced signal processing techniques are being used and developed. Together with EEG recordings, auditory and video recordings are collected to explore cognition with multimodal tools.
The laboratory is equipped with Brain Products 32-channel EEG system, a mobile Emotiv EEG system, an acoustically shielded Faraday cage, bilateral somatosensory and auditory stimuli device, acquisition and stimulus computers and other necessary devices used for synchronized audio-video recordings. EEG enables tracking the brain activity in high temporal resolution, making it possible to investigate neural oscillatory behavior on a millisecond scale. Thus, neurosignal lab provides practicle tools to investigates brain dynamics in temporal, spatial and frequency domains.
