Title: A COMBINATORIAL TEST DATA GENERATION APPROACH USING FAULT DATA ANALYSIS AND DISCRETIZATION OF PARAMETER INPUT SPACE

Date: 22nd June 2018

Time: 09:30 AM

Place: B-116

Thesis Abstract :Combinatorial Testing is an efficient testing strategy. It is based on the idea that many faults are caused by interactions between a relatively small number of parameters. However, determining the right interaction strength to generate data for different software is an issue in terms of efficiency. In addition to that, it requires the inputs in a discrete form, while that is not always the case. We propose a new combinatorial test data generator tool that combines fault data analysis to determine the right interaction strength for the specific domain of software and transformation of the continuous input space of parameters into discrete using well known test techniques. With this new tool, it is aimed to minimize test costs, while maximizing the confidence in test data. Experiments made with the tool support this idea with results showing a significant increase in test efficiency.

Title: "EFFECTS OF A DDOS ATTACK ON A MILITARY OPERATION"

Date: 05th March 2018

Time: 15:00 AM

Place: A-212

Thesis Abstract :

In this thesis, first of all, the terms cyber, cyber warfare, DDoS has been described. There is elaborate explanation on DDoS. Given the increasing use of internet and cyber in modern life, DDoS attacks have been modeled, thus we have tried to understand how DDoS attacks affect the results of a conventional war. In modeling, we used Lanchesters kinetic and mixed warfare models. We analysed the outcomes and paid much attention on how DDoS attacks changed the flow of the conventional war process. The results were presented as graphs and in details, there is also comparative results on graphs.

Title: "ONLINE DETECTION OF PILOT WORKLOAD BY USING FNIR SENSORS."

Date: 14th March 2018

Time: 16:30 AM

Place: A-212

Thesis Abstract :

Measuring mental workload of pilots and evaluating such measurements are important concerns in the aviation domain that requires high safety critical precautions. However, obtaining valid online measures without reducing operational capabilities of pilots remains to be an active area of research in human factors and aviation psychology. The aim of this thesis is to develop online measures for mental workload of pilots and establish a ground for new studies which will use these measurements to take precautions for safety. Since fNIR (Functional Near Infrared Spectroscopy) technology has been successfully employed in recent human factors studies and fNIR sensors have an ergonomic design that minimizes the discomfort of pilots as compared to other brain imaging methods, fNIR optical brain imaging technology will be employed in this thesis study. Firstly, changes in the mental workload of pilots will be studied offline in well-defined test scenarios in order to devise physiological patterns and algorithms for mental workload assessment. Afterwards, a software that can make online mental workload assessment by using these algorithms will be developed and tested.
